The osprey cam at the Taste of Maine Restaurant was still down, so I stopped by after work to check on the chicks (this time I chose a lobster roll to go).

There was only one chick on the nest - I think the older one - but I did discover another osprey perched in the large pine tree on the other side of the road. It might have been the other chick - but I didn't see any speckled feathers, so it's probably more likely that it was one of the adults, keeping an eye on the nest. I suspect the other chick was watching the other adult - to see just how he(?) catches all those fish!

I apologize for not providing a complete story. The picture from the monitor is while I was in the restaurant picking up my order - and I suspect I missed a delivery as the chick on the nest seemed to be eating when I got outside. All pictures click bigger.
