Here are the rest of the pictures taken when I visited the nest after receiving word that one of the chicks had died. All click bigger. The green outline on the first of the pictures of the monitor shows the surviving chicks lying side by side; once you know where to look, you can see that their heads are facing in different directions in each picture, though their bodies stay flat.

I believe the chick who died is facing the cam, with its left wing partly folded and next to the chick in the middle.

The pictures from the monitors are all skewed a bit because I was trying to avoid reflections and reduce the moire pattern that comes from taking pictures from monitors.
